This is what happens when you don't pay attention and run out of powder
when you are reloading. There were probably a few flakes in the case of this .45 ACP 200 Gr. SWC, enough to propel it almost out of the barrel. A little more and it would have landed right at his feet. There is a lesson here, if a bullet becomes lodged in the barrel and you shoot another behind it, you will be lucky if you get away with only gun damage. Worse yet is double charging. I hope to never have a photo to show you of that serious error. Take care when you are reloading, never reload when you are distracted and use common sense when handling lead. Wash you hands after reloading or handling bullets and do not smoke or eat while reloading. |
